Robert B. (Rob) Wilson, CPCU, ARe


Rob joined CLA Insurance Group in August of 2015 and brings over 20 years of carrier and agency experience to the operation. His primary focus is advancing the agency through organic growth and acquisitions. Prior to coming on board, Rob served in leadership roles at several companies in the DFW area, notably CFO at Gus Bates Insurance and Investments, President at American Hallmark Insurance Services and Senior Vice President and Producer at Wm. Rigg Co.

Rob is a CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) and has the ARe (Associate in Reinsurance) designation, a BA in Business Administration from Baylor and a Masters from Vanderbilt.

Larry J. Davisson II

Vice President

Larry is a graduate of Texas Tech University. After graduation he attended sales training with the renowned Sitkins Group Inc. Larry is a a second-generation insurance professional offering more than 20 years of experience in the industry.

Michelle Rountree

Vice President of Operations

Michelle began her career on the carrier side as a team leader in the commercial insurance division for State Farm Insurance. She then switched her focus and started working for an independent insurance agency as an account manager and later as a producer. She also spent a short time as a middle market underwriter at The Combined Group in Dallas. She currently continues to service her current customers with her own book of business as well as serve as the Vice President of Operations for CLA Insurance Group.

Cathy Mendoza

Lead Account Manager

Cathy has 37 years’ experience in the commercial property & casualty insurance industry. After 22 years with State Farm Insurance, Cathy moved into independent agency. With prior experience in other agents’ offices in the North Texas area, Cathy has been with CLA Insurance Group since May 2015. She services a variety of commercial clients.

Malisa Satterfield

Account Manager

Malisa came to Waggoner Insurance/CLA Insurance Group in 2007 as a Commercial Lines Account Manager. She has 30 years experience in the insurance industry, starting her career at The Hartford in San Antonio in 1985. She then moved to Austin in 1989 where she worked for several independent insurance agencies as a Personal Lines Account Manager and a Commercial Lines Account Manager. Malisa has an impressive track record of providing prompt, polite and accurate customer service to her clients.

Renee Babish, CISR, CRIS

Account Manager

Renee joined the CLA Insurance Group team from the New Jersey shore area. Renee has worked in the insurance industry for almost 20 years in Commercial Lines. Most recently she worked for The Vozza Agency, which specializes in restaurants and has a New Jersey Restaurant Worker’s Compensation Program through Guard Insurance Group. Prior to working at The Vozza Agency, Renee was with Boynton & Boynton, one the largest agencies in New Jersey, for 11 years. At Boynton she was a Sr. Commercial Lines Account Manager, handling a wide range of commercial accounts. She was also responsible for carrier and interoffice compliance and the training of new employees. Renee began her commercial insurance career at The Commercial Agency which specializes in Contracting and Construction accounts. Renee has a CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) and CRIS (Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist) designations and has the reputation for being honest, diligent, friendly and for making clients feel as if they are the only one she has.
